Kalmar Adventure Race
On Saturday the 8th of September 2007 Kalmar Adventure Race will take place! This is the all new and improved third edition, which we celebrate by offering as much as three classes for you to choose between. Expedition, with an estimated overall time of 48 hours. 4 persons/team. Explorer, with an estimated overall time of 24 hours. 2 persons/team. Discovery, with an estimated overall time of merely 6 hours. 2 persons/team.

All teams, regardless of class, will start the race together. After having covered the track of the shortest class (Discovery), teams competing in Explorer/Expedition will continue for an additional 18 hours of pure fun. After that, only the heroes of the Expedition-class will keep going for a neat final, consisting of 24 unsupported hours in the relative wilderness of Småland/Öland.

Classes:
Expedition
This class is open for teams of 4, male, female, or mixed/coed teams The disciplines include Orienteering, Mountainbike (MTB), Inline skating, Canoeing, and one or more adventure-tasks. Estimated time needed to fulfil this task is 48 hours, for the winning team. The fee for entering the Expedition-class is 5000:- SEK/team.

Explorer
This class is open for teams of 2, male, female, or mixed/coed teams. The disciplines include Orienteering, MTB, Inline skating, Canoeing, and one or more adventure-tasks. Estimated time to fulfil this task is 24 hours, for the winning team. The fee for entering the Explorer-class is 2500:- SEK/team.

Discovery
This class is open for teams of 2, male, female, or mixed/coed teams. The disciplines include Orienteering, MTB, Canoeing, and of course some extra adventure-tasks. Estimated time to fulfil this task is 6 hours. The fee for entering the Discovery-class is 500:- SEK/team.

Canoeing
Teams are allowed to bring their own Canadian Canoes, standard or Acron. There are a limited number of canoes for rent thru the race-administration. For teams in classes Explorer/Expedition the cost is 300:- SEK/team. For teams in Discovery-class 150:- SEK/team. Teams choosing to use their own canoes are also in charge of all logistics regarding these.
