The 28:th of January was the End of The WAR - The Winter Adventure Race

In the chilly winter morning the sound of the starting signal broke the shimmering silence in Svartbäcksmåla, Nybro. Thirteen brave teams started in the chilly morning in the 2006 edition of The WAR arranged by Kalmar Multisport Club. The weather couldn't be better; frost and sunshine.

The first loop started with a tough orienteering in a snowy rough terrain. Team SFC returned after 1 h and 12 min to pursue with snowshoes, followed by the mixed team Asgrymma, just six minutes behind . This loop was about one kilometre. 12 minutes and 38 seconds later it was time for the Mtb-stage. The third loop had the distance of 40 kilometres. Team SFC was still leading and when they came back after 1 hour and 54 minutes; they went on with the last stage, orienteering, for two hours and 30 minutes. Brave but tired they finished the adventure with the time 15:50:20.
